The Housemaid
By Frida McFadden
Book Rating: 4 out of 5 boozy stars
The Housemaid by Frida McFadden is a suspenseful novel that follows the story of a young woman named Millie who secures a position working as a housemaid for a wealthy family. Millie is ecstatic about her new position, thankful that the family has hired her despite, or unaware of, her relatively recent release from prison. Her new position seems perfect. The job only requires some light cooking, occasional transportation of their daughter, and cleaning around the home. Millie quickly realizes that her new position is not nearly as straightforward as she was expecting it to be.
The Housemaid is full of twists and turns that leave you shocked at each new revelation. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel, and I am looking forward to reading the next novel that is due to release soon.

If there's one thing I love, it's rum. I usually prefer rum to vodka, therefore it's no surprise that I love a good dark and stormy. This rum version of the usual Moscow Mule pairs well with this novel becuase like a Dark 'n Stormy, this novel is a fun spin on the usual thriller... I won't say how because I don't want to spoil anything!
